Yesterday, Apple updated their basic and cheapest laptop – the white plastic MacBook.
The updates are:

• faster CPU, from 2.26GHz to 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The processor is just a faster version of the previous one, no changes in the FSB or the Level 2 Cache size (3MB)
• powerful video card, NVIDIA GeForce 320M, the previous was GeForce 9400M. Its again a integrated video card with 256MB of memory. Apple reports that this card is faster than the 9400M between 30% to 80% (this tests are based on games)
• better battery, which can run for 10 hours straight. One of the most useful upgrades, with this long lasting battery you can use your laptop for a whole day. I presume that it will not last that long if you play a game or a movie, but with some office work, playing music or surfing the web it will last

With these upgrades, now is the time to buy the white MacBook
