iPad – first thoughts

So after a months of rumors and waiting, Apple and Steve Jobs finally revealed the iPad.
Its main characteristics are:

9.7 inch display, IPS technology, 1024×768-pixel resolution, 4:3 ratio
Weight of just 1.5 pounds(0.68 kg) for the WiFi model, 1.6 pounds(0.73 kg) for the WiFi + 3G model
Width is 7.47 inches(189.7 mm), height: 9.56 inches(242.8 mm), depth 0.5 [...]
